Dr. Shafiq Kara is well known for his work in maintaining and creating healthy functional smiles for patients of all ages. Dr. Kara graduated as the valedictorian from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Dentistry in 2004. Since then, he has spent countless hours travelling across the world to learn from the best cosmetic, restorative and specialist dentists, serving Langley and lower mainland families.
Dr. Kara is dedicated to providing Kois based dental risk assessments, functional bite correction, bite analysis and bite reconstruction, displaying excellent clinical and aesthetic expertise.
Friendly, caring, and personable, Dr. Kara is passionate about educating his patients about their dental needs. He does so with the use of modern dental technology and has a unique ability to diagnose, treatment plan and sequence treatment for patients using modern materials thus making comprehensive dentistry accessible for all.
Digital Dental Technology Dr. Kara frequently uses includes digital intra-oral and panoramic x-rays, iTero dental health scans, Dentsply Sirona CT scans, Cerec Primescan and Omnicam, Global Surgical Microscope, NobelGuide DTX studio, Exocad dental software.
Dr. Kara loves to give back and be a part of the community, he has been the team dentist of the Vancouver Giants since 2017. In 2012, he founded the original Mothers day Smile Makeover and since then has generously donated his and his amazing teams time and expertise to create over 20 new beautiful smiles for deserving Moms.
Outside of the dental practice, Dr. Kara can be found outdoors – skiing, golfing, running or on the soccer pitch with his son’s team! Dr. Kara enjoys travelling to new destinations with his wife Zahra, son Aiyan and going for walks with his puppy Rosey. Team building events with his long standing dental team also make him very happy.
